My Name is Antonia Nando, and I am a Medical Translator

Born in 1983 in Valence (Spain).

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature, and two postgraduate specialisations in translation of medical and legal texts (I am currently focused on the translation of medical texts).

During the last 9 years I developed different works as translator, interpreter and language teacher, but I have also been working for Export Departments in several companies, being in direct contact with customers all over the world using English and French Languages. From the works made until now, I developed my communication skills and capacity of work , together with my increasing capacity of understanding and respecting different cultures and languages.

WORK EXPERIENCE

While obtaining my Bachelor's Degree, I carried out training practises from November 2005 to April 2006 in the headquarters of C.A.I. (Centro de Apoyo a la Inmigración), in Valencia City Council, as a translator and consecutive interpreter EN<>ES.

Since year 2007 until nowadays, I have developed different jobs as a freelance translator and languages teacher, while working at the same time in the Export Departments of different companies in the ceramic and transport sectors.

Along these last 9 years due to my work experience I have been in direct contact with many cultures by using English and French languages, which allowed me to develop my communication skills and my increasing respect towards all cultures and languages.

Now I am focused on my specialisation which is the translation of medical texts: my experience relates mainly to the translation of medical essays, clinical trials, leaflets and information for patients,webpages and information pamphlets
